Bombino’s guitar takes him from revolution in Niger to the Southland

Bombino inspired the Tuareg people with his music before fleeing violence and repression in his country. He performs with his four-piece band Thursday at Levitt Pavilion Pasadena and Friday at Levitt Pavilion MacArthur Park.

Starting tomorrow and running for four days, lovers of spoken word performance have the opportunity to hear a wide variety of voices at inkSlam, a unique festival that showcases the incredible talent within the spoken word poetry world. Over 50 poets will perform at this year’s festival, which began in 2009 and has quickly developed into the largest spoken word festival on the West Coast.

8th Annual FYF Fest – Tickets Now On Sale

Tickets went on sale yesterday afternoon for the 8th Annual FYF Fest, an all-ages music festival complete with multiple performance stages, comedy acts, art installations, craft booths, food trucks, and carnival games. This year marks several firsts for FYF Fest, including its new location in downtown LA near city hall and the involvement of Goldenvoice, the organization that also produces Coachella.
