Want to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Gold Line Foothill Extension opening? Are you looking for an excuse to get outside and exercise this weekend? If the answer to either of those questions is “yes,” check out 626 Golden Streets. It’s your opportunity to walk, run, skate, bike, dance, play and socialize along 17 miles of car-free roadway in the San Gabriel Valley between South Pasadena and Azusa.

According to event organizers, 626 Golden Streets is “the biggest Open Streets event ever to be held in North America.” Along the route you’ll find eight activity hubs with music, food, dancing and more.

To help people get to and from the event, Metro will operate the Gold Line with longer, three-car trains and Saturday service levels. You’ll be able to access the event from the Gold Line at the following stations:

  • South Pasadena Station
  • Arcadia Station
  • Monrovia Station
  • Duarte/City of Hope Station
  • Irwindale Station
  • Azusa Downtown Station
