The first,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.getty.edu\/art\/exhibitions\/portraits_renown\/\" target=\"_blank\">Portraits of Renown: Photography and the Cult of Celebrity<\/a>,&nbsp;&ldquo;<\/span><span style=\"color: black;\">surveys some of the visual strategies used by photographers to picture the famous from the 1840s to the year 2000&rdquo; and draws images from the J. Paul Getty Museum&#8217;s extensive collection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The second exhibition is called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.getty.edu\/art\/exhibitions\/ritts\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Herb Ritts: L.A. Style<\/a>, which focuses on the work of Los Angeles-based photographer Herb Ritts (American, 1952&ndash;2002) and his ability to bridge the gap between art and commerce.
