Once again the Cinema at the Edge Independent Film Festival<\/a> (CATE) will celebrate a selection of innovative films from around the world that \u201cpush industry boundaries and explore cutting-edge cinema.\u201d Founded in 2013 and organized by Michelle Danner and Alexandra Guanieri, the event is a recent addition to the vibrant Los Angeles arts and film scene and has become known for exposing filmmakers\u2019 works to a wider audience and providing them additional opportunities for global distribution.<\/p>\n

This year the four-day event will feature over 50 narrative feature, documentary and short films, as well as \u201c\u2026opening and closing night parties, an aware ceremony and a series of panels with an emphasis on the filmmaking process.\u201d From my review of the festival schedule, it\u2019s evident that Danner, Guanieri and their team have put together an exciting program that is sure to please a wide range of film enthusiasts.
