He\u2019s toured and recorded as a member of numerous jazz orchestras, from the exploratory free improv of Vinny Golia and the brass heavy thunder of Stan Kenton to the relentless swing of Louis Bellson and the vigorously inventive charts of Bill Holman.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Richmond has assembled the Kim Richmond Concert Jazz Orchestra as a workshop for his writing and conducting, and regularly attracts some of the region\u2019s finest players. The ensemble\u2019s latest incarnation includes five woodwinds, four trumpets, two French horns, four trombones, guitar, piano, bass, drums, and percussion.
