One such group is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northeasttrees.org\" target=\"_blank\">North East Trees<\/a> (NET), a grassroots, community-based environmental non-profit that designs and builds parks that \u201c\u2026provide passive recreation opportunities and serve as gateways to bike paths, pedestrian and equestrian trails.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>To support its important work and raise community awareness about its activities, NET is hosting its annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.netearthdayfest.com\/en\/top\/NET-EarthDayFest\/\" target=\"_blank\">Earth Day Fest<\/a>. This family-friendly event will feature live music, libations, crafts and activities for kids, plant sales, a prize drawing and more. You\u2019ll also find <a href=\"http:\/\/www.netearthdayfest.com\/en\/left\/NET-EarthDayFest-Artists\/\" target=\"_blank\">local artists<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.netearthdayfest.com\/en\/left\/non-profit-participants\/\" target=\"_blank\">environmental organizations<\/a> and an assortment of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.netearthdayfest.com\/en\/left\/sponsors\/\" target=\"_blank\">sponsors<\/a> exhibiting and selling at this FUNdraiser for North East Trees (10% of all sales will go to NET). For those with an appetite, Mama Musubi will offer bentos, rice bowls, mochi ice cream and other treats.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to find out what local environmental groups are doing in your neighborhood and how you can get involved in improving our city, consider spending part of your Sunday at NET\u2019s Earth Day Fest. Trees will be available on a first-come basis, and all trees are suitable for our climate. Bring your driver&#8217;s license for proof of residency. If they\u00a0run out, NET will take your name and address and deliver trees to you when they are ready. Property owners can get multiple trees delivered.
