The Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL) Photo Collection and Photo Friends are co-sponsoring a new exhibition titled The Industry In Our Backyard: Television Production In Los Angeles, 1940s -1980s. Featuring images from the vast LAPL photo collection, this new exhibit “…showcases five decades in the life of the medium that dominated American culture, yet for Angelenos, was just another part of daily life in L.A.”

In conjunction with the exhibit itself, the library is hosting four special events, which will take place in the Central Library’s Taper Auditorium. They include:

Exhibit Opening

Thursday, January 18 at 6 p.m. with remarks at 7 p.m. In the History Department (LL4).
