Three Artists Interpret Los Angeles

The Los Angeles art scene is so vibrant that to get noticed artists often have to promote their own work. That’s exactly what Vivian Shih did when she reached out to inform Curating LA about The Land Around Us, a self-curated group show that features her work alongside that of Bijou Karman and Juliette Toma.

As Shih explained in an email, their show is about “diverse lifestyles; mundane and strange. Bubblegum pink on tan skin. Passing faces hidden away in individual neighborhoods. The Land Around Us is a love letter to our home, Los Angeles.”

Meet the artists and enjoy their work at the opening reception this weekend. Or make a point of visiting the gallery before the show closes in April. Details follow.
