This weekend some of LA’s foremost architectural talent working east of La Brea will welcome the public into their studios as part of the Hyperion Avenue Open Studio Tour. Organized by de LaB, one of my favorite local non-profits that brings Angelenos together who are passionate about and engaged with the city’s vibrant creative community, the event will give participants the opportunity to visit five architectural studios located within walking distance along a one mile stretch of… you guessed it – Hyperion Avenue in Silver Lake.
Aside from getting a first hand look at some cool spaces and meeting the people behind a wide variety of exciting LA area commercial and residential projects, participants will help support future de LaB programming, including its Making LA initiative – a series of design related events that will culminate with the first ever de LaB conference. Stay tuned for details about that event when they become available.
Participating studios in the Hyperion Avenue Open Studio Tour include:
- Michael Maltzan Architecture
- Warren Techentin Architecture (WTARCH)
- MASS Architecture & Design
- Lehrer Architects
- MAKE Architecture
