Today marks the start of the Los Angeles Design Festival (LADF), which celebrates the greater LA region’s status as a global design capital. The LADF’s events, featuring local and international design talent, are located all over Los Angeles in venues that range from the Los Angeles Convention Center to small design showrooms.
This year offers an exceptionally rich selection of tours, presentations, gallery openings, seminars and special events. You can spend an evening exploring the Chinatown design scene, participate in a design conversation with Dwell’s Aaron Britt while enjoying cocktails at Bo Concept Showroom, and visit a great lineup of Eastside and Westside studios organized by Materials and Applications, just to name a few.
The selection of options is so broad and intriguing that you’ll wish you could clear your entire calendar to make room for as many of these events as possible. I know I’d love to do that.
