Neon Noir – Flashy and electrifying boilers from the 1980s

This weekend you can watch two more movies in the Neon Noir film series, which Cinefamily co-presents with the Museum of Neon Art (MONA) and L.A. Record.

MONA is spicing up the event with installations of neon art to transform the Silent Movie Theater’s vintage decor with 80s funk.

Cinefamily’s curators explain the title by saying “this is when classic film noir met the vibrant pastel days and neon nights of the 1980s, when desperate men drove to the edge on rain-soaked streets as the pulsating tones of sleazy synth-rock rocked on the soundtrack. This isn’t Neo Noir — this is Neon Noir.”
